In June, the New Forest will once again play host to Minis of all shapes and ages. The club’s National Mini Day always attracts a large crowd of Mini lovers who come to enjoy the summer sunshine while viewing a huge collection of cars and this year is definitely unmissable so get the date in your diary now. In 2025 we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of a famous victory, the winning of the Monte Carlo Rally by a Mini for the second year in succession, this time by Timo Mäkinen and Paul Easter. We hope to have AJB44B on display in our central arena, so if you want to see this historic car, you know where to come. The Mini Cooper S was a game changer for BL who were able to attract many rally stars of the period to drive these cars to victory. Its exploits are the stuff of legend and not just on rally stages and racetracks, celebrities too were queuing up to have their own Cooper S modified by the famous coachbuilders of the day. They went a long way to cement this car as the Icon of 1960’s Britain.
We will of course have displays from our various registers as well as our regalia and membership tents where you can join (or renew) our club on the day. There will be space for our Regions and of course the many Mini enthusiast clubs to park and relax in the new, undivided open field.
There will of course be all your favourite attractions: trade stands where you might take advantage of any show offers that are available and of course we welcome Trunk Traders, so if you have a garage full of Miniobila that you want to slim down, this is an ideal opportunity to find a new home for it.
The ever popular Concours d’Elegance will be judged throughout the day before the prizes are awarded at the end of the afternoon. We will be interviewing as many celebrities as possible, and you can listen to them over the Tannoy or even come and say hello if you wish.
And don’t forget, your ticket also gives you access to the wonderful Motor Museum which is starting to undergo some exciting changes. There will of course be food and refreshments on sale and the Brabazon Restaurant is right next to the show entrance as well as many food and refreshment stands in the show field itself.
