THAMES VALLEY REGION NEWSLETTER

JUNE/JULY 2019

A reminder that our meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month at The Crooked Billet, London Road, Hook, Hants, RG27 9EH from 8pm. All members are very welcome, you don’t have to own a Mini Cooper – any mini will do! It doesn’t matter if you turn up without your mini either….just come along for a drink and a chat with other members. If you have any technical queries about your minis then there is bound to be somebody at the meeting who can help you.

NEXT MEETING – 26th June 2019

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Have you seen the “Technical Topics” article in Cooper World written by local member Richard Pengelly? This is Part 5 of a series of articles by Richard highlighting the importance of issues relating to the age on tyres of our classics.

If you were involved with our region’s stand at Beaulieu then well done…..we won the best regional stand award! A big thank you to everyone! If you were at the National Mini Show at Beaulieu then I’m sure you’ll agree it was a fantastic day, helped of course, by the weather. A huge amount of organisation goes into this day – well done to Tony Salter and his team. Look out for the report from the day in Cooper World and also in other Mini magazines.

Our summer run – The Thames Valley Tour 2019 on the 28th July is now full! Fantastic to hear this and thanks to Terry and Clive for the organisation. This event has no competitive element, and is intended as an opportunity for you to drive your pride and joy through the picturesque Thames Valley for a distance of about 85 miles.
Contact Terry on schraider@btinternet.com or Clive on brooks.c2@sky.com

Celebratory Mini 60th Anniversary items are now available in our club shop and more goodies are being added on a regular basis….if you can’t find what you’re looking for then please ask. Have a look at the website Mini Cooper Register and click on club shop.
