HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON 17 MARCH 2019
Mini Cooper Register, founded in 1986, continues to be a strong, successful club.
Committee reports
- Membership up by 3.3% in 2018 over the previous year
- Total membership now stands at 2,092
- A financial surplus and reserves for a rainy day
- CooperWorld, which has been running at 68 pages, nominated for an award for the second year running
- Active regional structure with new contacts recruited
- A developing club shop contributing to the finances
- Subscriptions, which only cover CooperWorld magazine, held at 2018 levels despite increased production costs
- Club now VAT registered
IT news
- New IT systems being introduced covering:
- Booking of trade stands at Beaulieu
- Car registers which have been transferred from Lavenham Press
- Mini Sport members discount
- Regional mailing system which is GPDR compliant
- Details of 1,878 cars held on the registers giving members access to their own details through the “My Car” drop-down on the website
- Website members area now has 416 people registered
Communications
- Increased activity on Facebook with more people interacting with news items and events
- National Mini Day has had 34.3k unique views compared to 22.4k in 2018
- The Twitter account has been rationalised to make it more manageable with a small loss in followers, which now stand at 2,672
